Anglican Schools Commission (Inc)

Start your meaningful career journey with the Anglican Schools Commission (ASC) as the Student Services and Homestay Coordinator for ASC International. This full-time role begins immediately and gives you the opportunity to enhance the experience of international students.

ASC International, located in the Perth CBD, is a part of the Anglican Schools Commission and focuses on serving international students in our schools. Our programs are designed to support students throughout their time with us, ensuring they have a positive and safe experience. The ASC owns and operates 16 low-fee, co-educational schools in WA, Victoria, and NSW, promoting excellence in education and fostering inclusive learning communities.

As the Student Services and Homestay Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the international student experience. Your responsibilities will include overseeing enrolments and arrival procedures, conducting orientation programs, acting as a primary point of communication for students and families, monitoring academic performance, and ensuring compliance with Homestay regulations. You will also manage documentation related to student welfare and engage with external bodies.

To excel in this role, you should support the ASC’s Vision, Core Purpose, Values, and Strategic Direction. Previous experience in student support, particularly with international students, is preferred. Familiarity with student management systems, such as Synergetic, is advantageous. Knowledge of the National Code of Practice for Providers of Education and Training to Overseas Students 2018, CRICOS, and visa requirements is essential. Strong verbal and written communication skills are required, and being multilingual is a plus. Problem-solving, crisis management, cultural awareness, and sensitivity are important traits. You should also possess organisational skills with attention to detail and have established connections with educational and community organisations. Supporting the ethos of The Anglican Schools Commission is necessary.
