As our Student Experience Officer, you will play a crucial role as the primary point of contact for our students. Your responsibility will be to create an inclusive and supportive atmosphere that encourages student engagement. We encourage creativity and innovation, and you will continuously seek new ways to enhance the student experience and provide opportunities for student involvement. Your excellent communication skills will help build positive relationships with students from diverse backgrounds.

In this role, you will work collaboratively as part of a team to deliver services that support students’ academic experiences and overall well-being. You will provide high-quality administrative and service support, and design various events, orientations, and student engagement programs. Collaboration with academic departments, faculty, and administrative staff will be essential to ensure the successful implementation of programs that support student engagement and success. This full-time role requires on-site work.

The ideal candidate for this position will possess excellent communication skills, event management expertise, strong administration skills, and a warm and engaging demeanor. They will prioritize customer service and demonstrate a genuine desire to help students and other key stakeholders, while embodying the vision and values of the College and university.

Key skills and experiences we seek include previous experience in the higher education sector in an administrative and student engagement role, ideally with event management knowledge in an education context. Knowledge of key legislation, policies, and procedures relevant to international students is desirable, as is an understanding of the challenges faced by students in alternative pathways to tertiary education, especially for international students. A diploma or higher (or equivalent experience) in administration, events management, education, student welfare, business, or international relations is required, along with a valid WWVP card and Australian working rights.
