We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our friendly and supportive team at our Melbourne CBD campus. This role offers a variety of challenging responsibilities and is available for immediate hiring.

As a Receptionist, your main responsibilities will include:

– Acting as the face of the school, greeting students, staff, and visitors.
– Answering phone calls, transferring calls, and taking messages.
– Assisting students and visitors with questions, issues, and concerns.
– Preparing student orientation and intake documents.
– Managing textbook inventory.
– Updating the school’s academic management system (Moodle and school database).
– Assisting students with questions and problems, or directing them to the appropriate department.
– Managing petty cash.
– Printing ID cards, certificates, and letters of completion.
– Digitizing and filing student academic documents such as passports and visas.
– Updating the PRISMS site with student information.
– Assisting the director and academic directors with assigned tasks.
– Ordering and managing stationary and school supplies.
– Running errands for coffee and snacks for guests.
– Maintaining a clean, neat, and clutter-free reception desk.
– Ensuring the overall cleanliness and tidiness of the school.
– Attending staff and team meetings, as well as training sessions as assigned.

Essential selection criteria for this role include:

– Experience working in an international college or school.
– Demonstrated customer service skills and experiences.
– Outstanding organizational skills.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
– Excellent technical skills in using databases, learning management systems, Excel, and email.
– A passion for education and awareness of cultural and language issues faced by overseas students.
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
– Fluency in written and spoken English is a must.

This is a full-time position, consisting of 38 hours per week, from Monday to Friday, 10am to 6pm.
