About the Project

The INTREPID III program is a 5-year research initiative funded by the MRC with the goal of advancing our understanding and responses to psychotic disorders globally. This includes conducting innovative research on medium-term course and outcomes, homeless populations, and potential risk and relapse mechanisms. Additionally, the program aims to establish a global study catalogue and data sharing platform, as well as implement a range of activities in each participating location to inform the development and testing of tailored interventions.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be based at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience, King’s College London, serving as the co-ordinating center for INTREPID III. Responsibilities will include overall coordination of the program, supporting and liaising with each participating center to ensure adherence to the program timetable, and contributing to data collection and analysis. This will require travel to partner countries and sites.

The ideal candidate will have experience in mental health research, a strong understanding of quantitative and/or qualitative research methods, and extensive knowledge of the social determinants of health. They should also have experience working on interdisciplinary international research projects, working with individuals with mental health issues, and possess excellent organizational skills. Additionally, the candidate should have the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and professionals from different cultures.

Career Development

We are committed to supporting the academic development of our staff, including assistance with fellowship and research funding applications, fostering collaborations, and providing opportunities for research and professional skills development through local Early Career Researcher Networks and the College’s training program.
