The acclaimed Moss Department of Construction Management at FIU is seeking candidates for an open-rank position in Construction Management. This tenured/tenure-track faculty position offers opportunities for professional growth and collaboration. The ideal candidate should possess expertise in construction engineering and management, including advanced construction technologies. A doctoral degree in Construction Engineering, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field is required, along with demonstrated research and scholarship commensurate with the rank applied for. Industrial experience and partnerships with industry organizations are advantageous. Responsibilities include establishing a robust externally funded research program, teaching at both undergraduate and graduate levels, and mentoring graduate students. The successful candidate is expected to foster collaborations within the department, school, college, and university.

The Moss Department of Construction Management provides state-of-the-art facilities, including the Moss & Associates Built Environment Informatics Laboratory, Trimble Technology Lab, Construction Process Laboratory, and the MEP Studio. Additionally, the College of Engineering and Computing houses facilities such as the Wall of Wind, Applied Robotics Laboratory, and Titan America Structures Lab. The department offers an accredited baccalaureate program with a large student body, as well as a Master’s program, including an online option.
