Job Title: Student Equity and Diversity Manager
Salary Package: $115,030 (HEW Level 8)
Employment Type: Full time, Permanent position
Location: Macquarie University, Wallumattagal Campus, Dharug land, North Ryde

Responsibilities:
– Lead a team and foster a respectful and accountable work environment that encourages professional development and continuous improvement
– Efficiently deliver student equity, diversity, and inclusion strategies, programs, and initiatives to enhance student experience and support key equity priorities
– Provide expertise on student diversity and inclusion to help the University achieve its equity goals
– Develop initiatives and resources to raise awareness of student equity among the student community
– Collaborate with the Equity and Diversity team and Diversity and Inclusion Committees to align initiatives and goals
– Conduct informative sessions to educate students and staff on equity issues and messaging
– Monitor and report on progress, making adjustments to achieve strategic objectives
– Establish and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including universities, organizations, and government bodies
– Manage the Student Diversity and Inclusion team

About Us:
Macquarie University’s Deputy Vice-Chancellor Academic (DVC-A) oversees the planning, quality, and delivery of education for undergraduate and graduate students. The Dean of Students is responsible for student support services and the overall student experience. The Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion team manages student safety, sexual health, and campus events promoting diversity and inclusion.

The criteria include a degree or equivalent experience in a related field, knowledge of the Australian higher education system, expertise in student/customer engagement projects and programs, familiarity with anti-discrimination legislation and university policies, proficiency in process improvement and transformation, experience in project and change management, data analysis and reporting skills, and the ability to build partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
