About the opportunity:

The Manager of Global Operations and Compliance will play a crucial role in the development and maintenance of systems, processes, and reporting to support the Global Office. With a strong focus on continuous improvement, this position will be responsible for creating an international education compliance framework that aligns with major regulatory frameworks. Utilizing data and analytics strategically, you will provide executive support to the Global Recruitment and Admissions Committee, coordinate stakeholder groups, and monitor risks associated with student recruitment, compliance, mobility, and partnerships. Staying current with international education compliance and risk trends will be vital to ensuring the University remains compliant and follows best practices. You will have the opportunity to provide authoritative advice, training, and support on international education compliance and risk to senior officers, staff, and committees. Building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, both internal and external, will be a critical aspect of this role. Additionally, you will lead and supervise the Global Operations and Compliance team, setting standards and implementing systems and technology solutions to support compliance efforts. About you:

As the Manager of Global Operations and Compliance, you should possess expertise in data analytics and reporting, particularly in compliance, marketing, and recruitment. Proficiency in major regulatory frameworks such as the ESOS Act, National Code, and Student Visa Regulations is essential, as is a strong understanding of current trends in International Higher Education. The ideal candidate will have extensive administrative experience in quality assurance, compliance, or risk management, with the ability to review, design, and improve systems and procedures. Additionally, you should excel at analyzing policy information and providing quality advice to staff at various levels. Effective teamwork, along with exceptional oral and written communication skills, are critical. You should also demonstrate the ability to work independently with limited supervision, showing initiative, problem-solving abilities, and sound judgment.

Salary and benefits:

At Southern Cross University, we offer our staff flexible work arrangements, generous parental and carer’s leave, wellbeing initiatives, employee assistance programs, and professional learning opportunities. This position is full-time and permanent, and relocation support is available. The salary (HEW Level 8) ranges from $111,116 – $122,525 per annum, with an employer contribution of 17% to superannuation. The total remuneration package is up to $143,354 per annum.
