The University of Sussex is currently hiring an International Partnerships Manager for their International Office team. This role is responsible for maintaining and developing international recruitment partnerships to support the university’s global goals. The university has ambitious plans to expand recruitment partnerships, and this role will be crucial in achieving those plans.

Reporting to the Associate Director International, the International Partnerships Manager will collaborate closely with Senior International Officers and academic schools to carry out the following tasks:
– Lead the university’s contracts with recruitment partner institutions.
– Foster effective relationships between partner institutions and university departments.
– Develop and manage the Student Recruitment and Marketing Strategy for the recruitment partnerships.
– Provide guidance and policy development to promote innovation in partnership development, exploring new models, academic areas, and overseas territories for collaboration.
– Ensure quality assurance aligns with institutional and external regulatory requirements and manage associated risks.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills to manage relationships and work effectively with partner institutions and university departments. Previous experience in partnerships, particularly in student recruitment partnerships, is preferred. A clear understanding of the opportunities and challenges in partnership development and management is required. Strong administrative skills and the ability to deliver results efficiently and effectively are also important.

This role falls under the responsibility of the CMA division, which plays a crucial role in the success of the university. Through partnerships with academic schools and institutions in the UK and internationally, the division attracts high-quality students. The division also advises on Institutional Growth Strategies to support the university’s positive outcomes and maintains strong relationships with global alumni and friends to support research at Sussex.
