EU Research Project Manager at University College Dublin

UCD School of Biosystems and Food Engineering is seeking applications for a temporary post of a EU Research Project Manager. The successful candidate will be under the supervision of Dr. Ronald Halim, a Funded Investigator in the SFI Research Centre, BiOrbic. The project manager will join the BiOrbic Operations team and become a member of the UCD Algae Group. BiOrbic is a Science Foundation Ireland Research Centre focused on both blue skies and industry-oriented research to support Ireland’s bioeconomy. The UCD Algae Group specializes in the development of innovative science and technology in microalgae for integration into a circular bioeconomy.

The main responsibilities of the successful candidate will include assisting Dr. Halim with financial planning, administration, and management/coordination of SusAlgaeFuel. They will be a key member of the management team, ensuring adherence to the work plan and its tasks, deliverables, and milestones for the four-year program. The postholder will also be responsible for timely financial and written reporting to the European Commission, event organization, acting as a contact point for other EU partners, managing the project budget, and liaising with the EC.

The salary for this position ranges from €46,000 to €52,000 per annum pro rata @ 0.5FTE. The exact salary will depend on qualifications and experience.
