Position: Assistant Director of Marketing and Recruitment
Location: Suffolk University, Boston (3 days on-site) 2 days from home significant international travel

As the Assistant Director of Marketing and Recruitment at Suffolk University, your primary responsibility will be to develop and execute an innovative international recruitment and marketing strategy. Your aim will be to attract students from all over the world to join INTO Suffolk University programs and pursue Suffolk University degrees.

Success in this role will be measured by achieving the international enrollment targets established in the INTO Suffolk University strategic plan.

To accomplish this, you will utilize a wide range of resources, both on and off-campus. This includes leveraging the valuable connections of esteemed alumni, influential government bodies, strategic institutional partners, and faculty relationships. Additionally, you will collaborate with INTO’s global recruitment network and regional offices to maximize recruitment efforts.

You will work closely with the University’s Office of Admissions and collaborate with the INTO Suffolk University Executive Director, INTO North America Director of Recruitment, and Director of Marketing. Together, you will develop and execute a powerful strategy to attract international students.

Significant travel will be required in this position to promote INTO Suffolk University and its programs.

Key Responsibilities:

– Develop a comprehensive recruitment plan, including participation in global recruitment activities, such as exhibitions, seminars, and alumni events, to build the Suffolk University brand and attract a diverse international student population across all programs (both virtual and in-person).
– Establish country-specific strategies in collaboration with INTO regional offices to achieve recruitment goals in targeted countries and regions.
– Travel internationally as required to promote Suffolk University and its programs, which may include attending virtual recruitment events outside of normal business hours due to international time zone differences.
– Serve as the primary contact and resource for INTO’s regional offices regarding all aspects of Suffolk University programs. Manage and oversee communication with INTO’s regional offices.
– Collaborate with Suffolk University and INTO to offer global analytics and provide support and advice on effective recruitment and scholarship strategies.
– Work with INTO and Suffolk University to manage scholarship budgets and allocations.
– Manage the annual recruitment budget for INTO Suffolk University and provide regular reports on progress towards recruitment goals.
– Plan and conduct conversion campaigns, engaging directly with prospective students, parents, agents, and regional offices. Offer timely and comprehensive advice while contributing to innovative conversion initiatives.
– Lead the development and management of conversion tools and platforms, such as peer-to-peer recruitment, webinars, and calendar bookings.
– Supervise and oversee student workers and interns supporting Suffolk University recruitment and marketing activities.
– Foster relationships across Suffolk University by regularly engaging with faculty, admissions, and international offices to collaborate on recruitment strategy and opportunities.
– Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with U.S. focused recruitment channels, including education counselors, government organizations, feeder institutions, and articulation partners.
– Directly manage a Recruitment and Marketing Specialist.
– Collaborate with the INTO Suffolk University Executive Director and INTO North America leadership team to develop and agree on a recruitment, conversion, and marketing strategy.
– Oversee the tasks and responsibilities of the Specialist role, ensuring accuracy and timely completion of deliverables.
– Conduct regular one-on-one meetings to monitor progress and complete annual performance reviews and objective settings.
– Provide ongoing training, support, and detailed program knowledge to external marketing and recruitment partners. Support global partners at promotional events to accurately represent Suffolk University program offerings.
– Offer continuous training, updates, and support to INTO regional office staff and global recruitment networks.
– Work closely with Suffolk University’s International Admissions to ensure accurate information about programs, requirements, and admissions processes is communicated to potential applicants and INTO regional offices.
