We have an exciting opportunity for a Student Services Officer to join our team at Victoria University Sydney Campus in our Sydney Office. As a key member of the team, you will have the chance to advance your career in the education industry. We are looking for a self-motivated and enthusiastic individual who wants to grow with the company.

Key Responsibilities:

– Welcoming Students and Visitors: Be the initial point of contact for students and visitors entering the campus.
– Resolving Student Enquiries: Assist the Student Services Coordinator in providing a comprehensive student enquiry service for a streamlined experience.
– Implementing Strategies to Support Students: Execute operational strategies to enhance student services under the guidance of the Student Services Coordinator.
– New Student Orientation Support: Aid in organizing and facilitating new student orientation programs.
– Supporting the Student Experience: Assist in organizing and executing campus events both onsite and virtually. Collaborate with the Student Services Coordinator to oversee clubs, societies, and the representative group.
– International Student Health Cover: Assist in processing student applications for health cover with relevant providers.
– Supporting Delivery of iHelp/Mentor Program: Contribute to implementing programs to support student success.
– Social Media: Collaborate with the ECA Marketing team to promote the VU Sydney student experience through various social media channels.
– Student Retention: Support the implementation of strategies to retain students.
– Other Duties: Undertake additional responsibilities assigned by the Student Services Coordinator.

Qualifications and Skills:

– Experience in student services or related customer service roles (preferred but not essential).
– Undergraduate or postgraduate qualification in business administration or related discipline.
– Excellent interpersonal and communication skills – written and verbal.
– Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks.
– Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changes.
– Experience using a student management system and intermediate MS Office skills.
– Ability to multitask in a busy environment.
