Education Centre of Australia

The University of the Sunshine Coast (UniSC) has announced plans to open a new campus in the Adelaide CBD in mid-2024, in partnership with Education Centre of Australia (ECA). The initial range of programs offered will focus on IT-related postgraduate degree programs, with plans to expand the portfolio in the future. To ensure a positive student experience at UniSC Adelaide, there is a need for a Student Services and Compliance Officer. This position, appointed by ECA, will be based at the UniSC Adelaide campus on a full-time permanent basis. The Officer will assist the Campus Manager with various administrative tasks relating to student life-cycle, such as responding to general enquiries, facilitating new student orientation, managing program/course variations, and handling enrolments. Additionally, the Compliance Officer aspect of the role involves administering, monitoring, and reporting student course variations and other regulatory matters through the Provider Registration and International Students Management System (PRISMS), as per the requirements of the Education Services for Overseas Students (ESOS) Act 2000. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to progress their career within the higher education and international education sectors. UniSC is particularly interested in candidates who are self-motivated, enthusiastic, and eager to contribute to the partnership’s growth. Key responsibilities of the role include acting as the first point of contact for student and visitor enquiries, providing advice and completing administrative tasks related to the student life-cycle, compiling data for reporting purposes, maintaining accurate student records for compliance, and supporting new student orientation and on-campus engagement activities. The ideal candidate should hold a relevant tertiary education qualification, have at least 2 years of experience in a customer/student-facing role, possess knowledge of the National Code of Practice for Providers of Education and Training to Overseas Students, demonstrate excellent customer service skills and attention to detail, and preferably have experience in the higher education and international education sectors and/or the hospitality and event sectors. In return, UniSC offers a collaborative and supportive team environment, work/life balance, continuous professional development opportunities, and a range of employee benefits. UniSC is an equal opportunity employer and welcomes applications from individuals of all backgrounds. Australian Citizens, Permanent Residents, and individuals with a valid working visa may apply for this position. Applications can be submitted online, and only short-listed candidates will be contacted.
