Senior International Recruitment Officer at Bangor University

We are currently accepting applications for a full-time Senior International Recruitment Officer on a permanent basis. The main responsibility of this role is to oversee the recruitment efforts of the University for international students at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. This position is part of the International Office and plays a crucial role in the institution’s business operations.

Candidates should have a degree or relevant professional qualifications or experience. The chosen candidate will be responsible for managing the International Recruitment function within a specific territory or vertical and increasing the number of international students enrolled in the university to meet institutional targets. The role includes leading marketing and recruitment activities to achieve international strategic objectives and ambitious targets. The Senior International Recruitment Officer will also develop partnerships with key agents, sponsors, schools, and partner institutions in the region, and will be responsible for regional strategies. Additionally, the role involves raising the profile of Bangor in the region and contributing to wider internationalization efforts. Significant overseas travel will be required to meet with partner institutions, agents, sponsors, ministries of education, and to attend recruitment events such as education fairs and student interviews.

The successful candidate should be available to start as soon as possible and the ability to communicate in Welsh is desirable for this role. The position will be based on campus at Bangor, but there is also the option to work remotely within the UK to support work-life balance, as part of our Dynamic Working framework. Part-time or job share arrangements will also be considered for this role.
