Avondale University is recruiting an International Students Officer to join their Student Recruitment team on a part-time basis for a 12-month period. This role will play a crucial role in the international student journey at Avondale, from initial inquiry to graduation. The main responsibilities will include recruiting and onboarding new international students and serving as a point of contact for current international students.

Key duties of the role include responding to diverse inquiries about Avondale courses and entry requirements, converting prospective students into successful enrolments through sales and customer service approaches, building and maintaining relationships with prospective students, providing accurate information to applicants and current students, maintaining a CRM database, processing international student applications, assessing and verifying documentation, staying updated on relevant requirements and policies, demonstrating cultural sensitivity, participating in university events, and more.

To be successful in this role, candidates should have a relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience, understanding of sales methodology in the higher education sector, strong customer service skills, ability to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds, excellent communication and negotiation skills, organizational skills, attention to detail, proficiency in software packages, and a commitment to work health and safety policies. Desirable criteria include knowledge of education systems and university admissions, experience in administration and using student administration software, experience with customer relationship management software, expertise in international admissions and GTE assessment, and knowledge of the ESOS Regulatory Framework and Student Visa Programme.
