The International Student and Study Abroad Services (ISSAS) at North Dakota State University is seeking an International Student Advisor to provide support and guidance to international students. This role involves building relationships with a designated group of international students, ensuring they maintain their visa status, assisting with their adjustment to life in the US and at NDSU, and addressing any personal concerns that may affect their academic progress. The International Student Advisor will also contribute to international student enrollment goals by assisting incoming students before each semester and staying updated on visa regulations. This is a full-time position with some evening and weekend hours required. The salary for this role is $45,000 depending on experience, and it includes comprehensive benefits.

To be considered for this position, applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree and have lived, studied, or worked abroad for at least one semester or six months. US citizenship or permanent residency is also required to serve as a Designated School Official (DSO) and/or Alternate Responsible Officer (ARO) in accordance with US regulations. Preferred qualifications include knowledge of a foreign language, experience in detailed task completion and organization, and professional training related to visa regulations.
