About this Opportunity

This is a fixed-term position until March 31, 2028, within the full-time Student Success Division at CQUniversity Sydney. The role is classified at the Higher Education Worker Level 5, with a total remuneration package of $89,263 to $100,411 per annum. This package includes a salary range of $75,429 to $84,849 per annum, as well as 17% superannuation and leave loading.

As an International Arrivals Officer within our Student Success Division, your main responsibility will be to welcome and support incoming international students as they adjust to studying and living in Australia. Working as part of a team, you will focus on creating an exceptional onboarding experience for international students, with the ultimate goal of improving student retention.

The ideal candidate for this role should possess initiative, creative problem-solving skills, strong networking abilities, and the ability to adapt quickly to the needs of a diverse group of students. A proactive approach to assisting international students, along with effective communication and interpersonal skills, is essential. To be successful in this role, you should have:

– Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, able to convey complex information clearly and empathetically
– Proven time management and problem-solving skills, with demonstrated initiative and the ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively within a team
– Knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office Software, web browsers, and online Customer Relationship Management systems
