**Salary/Pay Range:** $33,945 – $43,800 annually. Compensation is commensurate with experience and qualifications.

**Summary**
As the first point of contact for the International Affairs Office in the Division of Inclusive Culture and Belonging, this position plays an essential role in assisting UCCS students, faculty, and staff interested in international programs. Responsibilities include supporting international student retention and assisting with academic partnership programs and international delegation visits. This role also oversees student employees and manages university processes to support the International Affairs Office.
**Essential Functions**
– Provide front desk reception, greet visitors, answer phone calls, respond to office emails, and assist with inquiries related to Education Abroad and International Student and Scholar Services.
– Connect students with mental health resources, organize wellness workshops and events, and create campaigns to promote mental health and well-being.
– Provide education abroad scholarship information and mentor student assistants and volunteers using the TerraDotta system.
– Help students understand education abroad opportunities through one-on-one meetings, both in-person and online.
– Act as a liaison for international students and scholars, offering guidance on visa/compliance requirements, housing, class registration, and other resources.
– Maintain student and scholar records using Sunapsis, and prepare materials for orientation.
– Support social/cultural events, including participation in iBuddy club activities and International Affairs Office events.
– Manage the bi-weekly IA newsletter and maintain an accurate distribution list.
– Facilitate culturally responsive educational training to support international student retention and success.
– Promote education abroad through events, resource fairs, social media, and classroom presentations.
– Handle administrative tasks such as mail handling, office supply management, equipment delivery, filing, data entry, and database maintenance.
– Create promotional materials for the International Affairs website and social media platforms.
– Schedule appointments for students, faculty, and staff with advisors and counselors, escort visitors, and provide pertinent office information.
**Qualifications**
**Minimum Qualifications:**
– Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
– At least one year of full-time professional experience in customer service, advising, or as a receptionist.
– Experience in website maintenance and social media marketing.
– Must be U.S. Citizen or U.S. Legal Permanent Resident due to government regulations.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
– Five or more years of full-time professional experience.
– Previous experience living, studying, or working in a different cultural context.
– Experience in project planning and management.
**Physical Requirements:**
– Frequently required to sit; occasionally must move.
– Prolonged use of a computer screen; normal hearing range.
– Occasionally lift/move up to 10 pounds.
