Position Summary:
Reporting to the Assistant Vice President of International Programs and Global Engagement (IPGE), the International Admissions Coordinator (Student Services Professional IV) is responsible for processing undergraduate and graduate international student applications, providing guidance on admission and enrollment policies, evaluating international academic credentials, and issuing necessary documents for newly admitted and continuing international students. The Coordinator actively recruits international students, represents the university at various educational and community programs, and collaborates with a diverse range of individuals to promote the university’s mission and goals.
FLSA: Exempt (Not eligible for overtime compensation)
Anticipated Hiring Range: $6,019 per month – $6,343 per month
CSU Classification Salary Range: $6,019 per month – $8,585 per month

Minimum Qualifications:
– Thorough knowledge of the policies, procedures, and practices of the program area
– General knowledge of public administration principles and methods
– Ability to carry out complex assignments independently
– Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
– Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
– Bachelor’s degree in a related field
Required Qualifications:
– Experience working in an international student services office
– Experience interacting with people in an informational or advising capacity
– Ability to research and interpret policies and procedures for communication
– Strong organizational and administrative skills
– Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
– Ability to solve problems independently
– Experience streamlining admissions processes
– Familiarity with integrating technology solutions to admissions processes
– Knowledge of student administration computing software
– Knowledge of international student recruitment
– Knowledge of graduate and undergraduate international admissions
– Familiarity with academic regulations and procedures related to international and domestic transfer credit
– Knowledge of U.S. and foreign education systems
– Familiarity with educational recruiting agencies and services
– Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a diverse environment
– Flexibility and adaptability to process changes
– Proficiency in Microsoft Office and standard office equipment
– Ability to serve as an Alternate Responsible Officer (ARO) and Designated School Official (DSO)
– Commitment to maintaining an inclusive work environment
– Ability to work evening and weekend hours as needed
– Ability to pass a background check
Preferred Qualifications:
– Experience working in a community college
– International travel experience
– Familiarity with U.S. immigration regulations for F-1 and J-1 visas
