Salford Business School is offering an exciting opportunity for an International Academic Support Tutor. We are seeking a candidate with experience in supporting international students in both postgraduate and undergraduate teaching. The chosen candidate will provide academic support in areas such as academic writing, critical thinking, good academic practice, and research skills to our postgraduate students. They will also assist postgraduate students in developing academic skills that align with credit-bearing assessments through scheduled activities.

Key responsibilities and requirements for the role include:

– Developing and delivering support sessions both on-campus and virtually.
– Teaching and conducting sessions on learner development, academic skills, and research methods.
– Identifying the development needs of international and home postgraduate students in collaboration with other academic colleagues.
– Providing individual tutorial support and referring students to specialist support when necessary.
– Familiarizing oneself with the academic lifecycle of postgraduate students to ensure timely skill development delivery.
– Coordinating and collaborating with program teams, Student Progression Administrators, and central support services to ensure a cohesive approach to pastoral, discipline, and academic support.
