About the Role:
Queen Mary is renowned globally and attracts students from over 170 countries. The Immigration Compliance team provides crucial administrative support for our international student community, ensuring they have the necessary authorization to study in the UK for the duration of their studies. The team also maintains accurate records for individual students and ensures compliance with UKVI sponsor guidance. This role demonstrates the university’s commitment to recruiting and managing international students.
The Head of Student Immigration Compliance will be responsible for developing and coordinating QMUL’s policies and procedures for immigration compliance. They will also provide effective management of all student compliance-related matters. Working closely with other professional services teams, the role will involve reviewing and developing policies and managing potential impacts on international student recruitment resulting from changes in UK government policy.
About the Department:
Registry Services is responsible for maintaining students’ personal and academic records, managing timetables and examinations, distributing scholarships, ensuring compliance with immigration rules, and addressing academic and regulatory queries from students and staff. The Immigration Compliance Team is part of Registry Services and ensures QMUL’s full compliance with UKVI sponsorship duties.
