We are seeking applications for the role of Head of Partnerships and Science within the Engineered Pandemics Risk Management Programme. The chosen candidate will be responsible for crafting and implementing the Programme’s strategy to enhance impact by fostering and maintaining collaborative partnerships and engaging with stakeholders. Key responsibilities include leading the Programme’s communication and impact initiatives, coordinating research fundraising efforts, and overseeing the work of postdoctoral researchers and graduate students, particularly in the biological and modeling sectors. Additionally, the candidate will be expected to establish a sustainable pipeline of strategic partners.

Applicants should hold a PhD in a relevant field, which may include, but is not limited to, risk studies, science and technology studies, epidemiology, or molecular biology. Experience in science policy and risk studies is highly preferred.

This position is funded for an initial period of two years and is available on either a part-time or full-time basis. Although hybrid working arrangements can be discussed, the selected candidate must be based in or near Cambridge and be present at CRASSH or another designated department location in Cambridge for at least three days per week (on a pro-rata basis), unless travel to other sites is required.

Current university employees are encouraged to apply for this position as a secondment from their existing roles.
