We are currently seeking a dynamic and motivated professional to contribute to the expansion of Employability and Careers support within the Faculty of Science and Engineering. The successful candidate will primarily focus on two schools within the Faculty: the School of Biosciences, Geography, and Physics, and the School of Mathematics and Computer Sciences. Key responsibilities will include:

– Preparing students for placements by delivering relevant modules, overseeing students on Year in Industry programs, and promoting the growth of Year in Industry opportunities across the subject areas.
– Collaborating with the Faculty and the broader university to develop and strengthen partnerships with strategic boards, stakeholders, intermediaries, and employers in Wales, the UK, and internationally, in order to meet the Faculty’s strategic targets for employability and placements.
– Organizing networking events and industry visits to foster collaborations with Welsh, UK, and international industries, thereby facilitating student placements, graduate opportunities, entrepreneurial activities, and overall enhancement of students’ employability.
– Coordinating the Study Abroad exchange program for the Faculty in partnership with the International Development Office and relevant academic leads.
