ELICOS HEAD TEACHER – EVENING – PERTH (10% loading on top of the Award – 5% Head Teacher plus 5% for Evening)

Role Overview:
ILSC Education Group is a leading language school in Australia, offering a wide range of programs tailored to meet the needs of international students. As the Evening Head Teacher, you will play a key role in upholding ILSC’s mission of providing a transformative learning environment. You will support and mentor ILSC Teachers, collaborate with the National ELICOS Academic Team, and work closely with other HTs to ensure the success of the ILSC campus and ILSC Education Group. In this position, you will collaborate with the DoS, Teachers, and Student Services Team to maintain effective communication and provide guidance on ILSC policies and expectations. The HT also works closely with teachers to support best practices in teaching, assessment, and continuous professional development. Additionally, you will represent ILSC’s core values and actively participate in sector Communities of Practice and Special Interest Groups.
Job Duties:
– Teach ELICOS classes (teaching load varies based on operational needs)
– Collaborate with the DoS and National ELICOS HT Team for effective teacher support
– Support DoS in academic operations, including scheduling and professional development
– Coordinate teacher relief and classroom changes
– Train and guide Teachers in ILSC Curriculum, Assessment, LMS, and EdTech software
– Oversee campus and teacher needs as required
– Conduct student assessments
– Contribute to session meetings & professional development workshops
– Assist with new teacher recruitment and inductions
– Maintain and update ILSC Teacher Guide
– Coordinate new teacher observations
– Participate in external SIGs and CoPs
– Stay attuned to sector support and opportunities
Key Selection Criteria:
Education and Experience:
– Bachelor’s degree
– Cambridge CELTA or Cert IV TESOL (or equivalent)
– Minimum three years’ teaching experience in quality English language institutions
– Excellent understanding of TESOL methodology, programs, and assessment practices
– Experience with online learning management systems
