Director of International at Cardiff University

Cardiff University is in search of a Director of International who will be responsible for realizing the university’s global ambitions and leading a team of international professionals. The university’s new strategy, ‘our future, together’, emphasizes the desire to make a global impact, increase international visibility, and engage in collaborative partnerships. The Director will play a key role in driving the internationalization program, developing initiatives and partnerships, embedding global thinking across research, teaching, and civic missions, and enhancing the university’s profile worldwide. This position will cover various areas including international recruitment, partnerships, transnational education, international student experiences, research, staff and student mobility, study abroad, and summer schools. The Director will report to the Director of Marketing, Communications and Student Recruitment and collaborate closely with the Pro Vice-Chancellor International. As a senior member of the Communications and Marketing division, the Director will contribute to the integration of functions into an expanded International Office. The successful candidate must have a passion for higher education and recent experience leading international teams, preferably within the higher education sector. International travel will be required. This is a full-time, open-ended position with a salary commensurate with experience and achievements. The closing date for applications is Sunday, 21 July 2024.
