Job Title: Careers Counsellor/Advisor (Part-Time)

Job Description:
As a Careers Counsellor/Advisor, you will report to the HSC/IBDP Coordinators at both school sites. Your primary responsibility will be to create and manage programs and services related to tertiary requirements. You will work closely with senior students to assist them in their transition to higher education, building relationships with universities and other community members. Moreover, you will inspire, advise, and guide students in making informed decisions about their future careers.

Key Accountabilities:
– Provide high-quality career counselling services
– Offer career advice, pathways options, and industry-relevant guidance through various channels
– Develop and distribute career resources for students
– Maintain up-to-date career-based digital content
– Establish and maintain networks with professional agencies and educational providers

Qualifications and Skills:
– Hold a related Degree in Counselling
– Experience in career counselling within a school setting
– Strong presentation skills and ability to facilitate group work
– Excellent interpersonal skills to work with students, staff, and stakeholders from diverse backgrounds
– Problem-solving, collaboration, and advice-seeking abilities
– Familiarity with government and education sector regulations and policies
– Effective communication and analytical skills
