The ISSAS office at NDSU is looking to hire an Associate Director for International Enrollment Management and Student Success. This role will involve leading and developing strategies for attracting and retaining international students at NDSU. The Associate Director will oversee the international student advising program, the intake and orientation process, and develop relationships to support international enrollment goals. Collaboration with the Director of ISSAS and the Associate Director of Global Engagement and Partnerships will also be required to support NDSU’s internationalization priorities.

The ideal candidate should have previous experience managing a team in a fast-paced environment and the ability to motivate a team in a growth-oriented setting. NDSU currently has over 700 international students and is focused on increasing the number of undergraduate and graduate international students. The Associate Director will play a key role in achieving these enrollment goals and may be expected to support recruitment efforts abroad, necessitating international travel.

The work schedule for this position is typically Monday to Friday, 8AM-5PM, and 7:30AM-4PM during breaks and summer. However, some nights, weekends, or irregular hours may be required when necessary.

The advertised salary for this position is $70,000 or more, depending on experience, and includes excellent benefits.

Minimum qualifications for this position include a Master’s degree and at least 3 years of experience (or a Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of experience) supporting international student enrollment through recruitment, advising, and/or teaching. Applicants should also have demonstrable knowledge of trends in international enrollment management and student advising, at least one year of experience supervising others, and at least six months of experience living, working, or studying abroad.

Preferred qualifications include a doctoral or other terminal degree, experience designing and delivering innovative international student programming, and the ability to speak, read, or write in a language other than English.
