Position: Associate Director, International Admissions and Compliance

We are currently seeking an exceptional leader to join our Student Administration Services Division as the Associate Director, International Admissions and Compliance. In this role, you will drive innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement by developing and implementing business strategies relevant to international admissions and compliance in the Australian Higher Education Sector and International Education landscape.

The ideal candidate will have extensive leadership experience, as well as a deep understanding of current sector issues and a sophisticated knowledge base. Responsibilities include leading the development of projects and initiatives to improve compliance outcomes and international admissions services, systems, and processes. Furthermore, a strong understanding of compliance, policies and procedures, legislative changes, and entry requirements is essential. This knowledge will enable you to evaluate strategies, validate decisions, and make adjustments in response to changing business needs.

Collaboration with various faculties and divisions across the university is integral to this role. You will need to exercise sound judgement in decision-making and provide expert advice on international risk to stakeholders. Your excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills will be crucial in building strong connections and effectively communicating UOW’s objectives.

As the Associate Director, you will lead, manage, and develop a team of specialists who can envision and shape the future of the international admissions and compliance function. Your strategic direction will enable UOW to stay ahead of competitors in an ever-changing environment and deliver an exceptional experience to our students.
