Job Description:
Texas A&M International University (TAMIU), specifically the Department of Mathematics and Physics, is seeking a full-time Assistant Professor of Physics to join their team in Fall 2024. This is a tenure-track position. The primary responsibilities will include teaching Physics and Astronomy courses, including laboratory sessions, to undergraduate students from various majors. The successful candidate will also be expected to conduct research in the field of Physics and Astronomy and actively promote these subjects. This position requires regular face-to-face interactions on campus.

Texas A&M International University (TAMIU) is a comprehensive regional university and a part of The Texas A&M University System. Qualifications:
The successful candidate must hold a doctorate in Physics, Applied Physics, or Computational Physics. ABDs (all but dissertation) with a completed doctorate before appointment will also be considered. Preference will be given to candidates with Applied and Computational Physics coursework and the ability to teach Astronomy. Other desirable qualifications include a strong record or potential for publication in peer-reviewed journals, experience or potential for securing external grant funding, a strong desire to work with first-generation students, and the ability to teach complementary subjects to our undergraduate and graduate courses.
