Position: Assistant Director of Marketing and International Student Recruitment

INTO’s mission is to transform international student academic and career success through exceptional university partnerships. As the Assistant Director of Marketing and International Student Recruitment for INTO SLU, you will be responsible for leading the strategic planning and execution of an international recruitment and marketing plan. This plan aims to drive international student enrollment to the INTO SLU programs and SLU degree-seeking programs. You will work closely with the Recruitment and Marketing Specialist, who will report to you.

Success in this role will be measured by meeting the international enrollment targets set by INTO SLU’s strategic plan. To achieve these targets, you will leverage an extensive network of resources, including alumni, government organizations, institutional partners, key faculty contacts, INTO’s global recruitment network, and INTO’s regional offices. Collaboration with the University’s Office of Admissions, the INTO SLU Director of Operations and Partner Relations, and the INTO North America Director of Recruitment and Director of Marketing will be key to developing the strategy and driving recruitment efforts.

Responsibilities:
International Student Recruitment
– Develop a comprehensive recruitment plan, including participation in global recruitment activities, to build the SLU brand and attract a diverse international student population.
– Coordinate with INTO regional offices to establish country-specific strategies to achieve recruitment goals.
– Travel globally as required to promote SLU programs and attend virtual recruitment events held in international time zones.
– Act as the primary contact and resource for INTO’s regional offices regarding all aspects of SLU programs.
– Manage and oversee communications with INTO’s regional offices.

Strategic Recruitment Initiatives
– Provide global analytics, support, and advice on effective recruitment and scholarship strategies in collaboration with SLU and INTO.
– Assist with managing scholarship budgets and allocations.
– Use analytical methods to identify recruitment opportunities and update staff on progress toward goals and enrollment numbers.
– Manage the INTO SLU annual recruitment budget and provide regular progress reports.

Conversion
– Conduct conversion campaigns by directly communicating with prospects, parents, agents, and regional offices.
– Lead the development and management of conversion tools and platforms.
– Supervise student workers and interns supporting SLU recruitment and marketing activities.

Relationship Management
– Build and maintain relationships with faculty, admissions, and international offices to collaborate on recruitment strategies.
– Foster solid relationships with US-focused recruitment channels, including education counselors, government organizations, and feeder institutions.

Training
– Provide training, support, and program knowledge to external marketing and recruitment partners.
– Support global partners at promotional events to accurately represent SLU program offerings.
– Train and support INTO regional office staff and global recruitment networks.
– Collaborate with SLU’s International admissions to ensure accurate information is communicated to potential applicants and INTO regional offices.
