UWA College

Position: Admissions Officer at UWA College, located on The University of Western Australia campus in Perth

Duration: 12-month contract

INTO’s goal: Enhancing academic and career success for international students through strategic university partnerships. UWA College serves as the pathway college for The University of Western Australia, offering tailored Foundation and Diploma programs to prepare students for successful transitions to UWA. INTO University Partnerships manages UWA College in collaboration with the university, and has partnerships with 25 esteemed universities in the UK, USA, and Australia, specializing in international student preparation for higher education.

Reporting Line: This role reports to the Admissions Manager at UWA College, and involves meticulous attention to detail and responsible handling of tasks falling into two main categories:

– Processing student applications and managing offer confirmations
– Administering certain financial aspects of the student enrollment process

Key Responsibilities:

– Collaborate with the admissions team to assess and process applications for UWA College
– Evaluate student applications, including Genuine Temporary Entrant assessments, accurately and promptly
– Manage Confirmation of Enrolment and Accommodation and Welfare Arrangement processes on PRISMS for UWA College programs
– Confirm enrolments and generate invoices within designated timeframes and guidelines
– Address admissions inquiries promptly via email, phone, or in-person
– Stay informed on legislative policies concerning international students
– Cultivate strong relationships with UWA, agents, students, INTO offices, and other partners
– Contribute to advancements and refinements in admissions procedures

Candidate Requirements:

– Legal right to work in Australia
– National Police Check
– Working with Children Check
– High school education or equivalent
– Previous experience in a similar role
– Customer service experience in a busy administrative setting
– Familiarity with sector-specific legislation and regulations related to international students
– Exceptional attention to detail and data accuracy
– Strong numerical skills
– Ability to build rapport with diverse colleagues and customers
– Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
– Willingness to learn new tasks and adapt to changing priorities
– Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
– Superior organizational, communication, and time management skills
– Capacity to work independently and manage responsibilities efficiently
