Job Title: Admissions Officer
Employment Type: Full Time (37 hours, 1 FTE)
Location: London Campus

The Institute of Inner-City Learning is currently hiring an Admissions Officer for its London Campus. As a member of the Admissions team, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient and timely recruitment and admission of home applicants, while adhering to the University’s policies and relevant regulatory bodies.

The role will involve close collaboration with various departments at both the London Campus and Birmingham Campus (LC/BC). The focus will be on London admissions and agent-led recruitment for Wales, with support required during peak periods. Regular communication with colleagues from Student Services, Campus Operations, the Executive Dean, and the Dean in LC/BC will be necessary to ensure the smooth implementation of admissions processes.

Main Duties:
– Collaborate with external recruitment service providers
– Assist in providing necessary information for communication with external bodies such as the UKVI and the Student Loans Company (SLC)
– Support applications for external funding by providing relevant course and program information
– Collaborate with the Registry department on admissions-related matters
– Train and guide agents and other recruitment service providers, individually and as part of a team
– Report changes in student circumstances and comply with sponsorship duties
– Screen and process applications from agencies and direct applicants
– Generate conditional/unconditional offer letters and communicate them to the appropriate parties
– Record and update data on the University’s and external management systems until registration
– Coordinate and participate in recruitment activities with the marketing team, including working with student recruitment agencies, planning promotional initiatives, and visiting schools, colleges, and career conventions/exhibitions to recruit students as needed

Requirements:
– Good educational background
– Previous experience in administrative roles within a fast-paced education environment
– Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate at all levels
– Detail-oriented with a demonstrated ability to pay attention to detail
– Ability to meet tight deadlines and effectively manage workload
– IT literate, with proficiency in Microsoft Office packages and the ability to learn new software
– Strong team player
