The Role and Department
The Careers & Enterprise (C&E) Centre is part of Durham University’s Education Division, which aims to ensure effective student engagement, achievement, and positive progression. C&E operates across the university to support student development and progression, helping them navigate the ever-changing employment market and become future leaders and innovators.
This role is based in the Work-Based Learning and Employer Engagement strand, focusing on work-based learning (international) provision. The successful candidate will develop and deliver support programs to enhance the employability skills of students and graduates. They will also oversee global internships and volunteering opportunities, particularly for Widening Participation students, and create and implement a support program for international students.
The post-holder must have a strong understanding of the international higher education context and associated risk assessment processes. They will collaborate with others to curate opportunities, market provisions, and manage opportunities to ensure positive outcomes for students, employers, and third-party providers.
