Working collaboratively with colleagues across the university, we are searching for a senior leader who will deepen and broaden our existing international partnerships while forging new alliances with diverse organizations in various regions. Our reputation as a leader in transnational education is well-established, exemplified by over 6,000 of our students studying at partner institutions in China, approximately 70 students joining our MBBS program in Malta annually, and the participation of students in postgraduate law programs in Paris. We are eager to further enhance and expand this reputation.
Reporting directly to the President and Principal as a key member of the Senior Executive Team, the Vice-Principal (International) will be responsible for implementing several pivotal aspects of Strategy 2030. Additionally, they will play a crucial role in the broad strategic development and management of the university, serving as a senior ambassador internationally. Specific areas of focus for the Vice-Principal (International) include reputation, international partnerships, international student recruitment, and alumni engagement, as stated in the Strategy 2030 key performance indicators.
As the Vice-Principal (International), you should be an accomplished leader in your academic field. Your ability to collaborate effectively and deliver results will be essential as you operate at the Senior Executive level, working closely with other members of the Senior Executive Team, particularly the Faculty Vice Presidents and the Vice President for Strategic Policy and Partnerships, to advance the university’s international agenda. In cases where appropriate, you will establish partnerships with high-quality organizations that foster cross-university collaboration and yield tangible outcomes for Queen Mary.
