## Job Description

### Position Overview

– **Location**: Devon House, London (Hybrid role) – Expectation of 2 or 3 days in the office, with flexibility for evening and weekend work.

### The Role

As part of the Northeastern University London Undergraduate Recruitment Team, the UK Student Recruitment Officers will work under the guidance of the UK Student Recruitment Manager to support the recruitment of domestic undergraduate students. Responsibilities include guiding prospective students from the initial inquiry stage through to enrollment.

Key duties involve planning and executing recruitment travel to UK schools, building and maintaining relationships with school administrators, and attending various school events across the UK. Significant components of the role also include event planning and management, requiring oversight of large events like UCAS Fairs, Offer Holder Days, Essay Competition events, and Open Days. The role also demands involvement in on-campus activities, such as information sessions, campus tours, and student visits.

This full-time position follows a hybrid schedule, with flexibility for evening and weekend work to meet seasonal and recruitment requirements.

### Duties and Responsibilities

**Manage a Designated Recruitment Territory**:
– Collaborate with the UK Student Recruitment Manager to develop a goal-oriented recruitment strategy targeting a specific geographic area.
– Attend college fairs, visit high schools, and lead college readiness programs to establish and expand market presence.
– Plan and execute various recruitment programs, including student and family counseling, receptions, information nights, yield events, interviews, and admission training forums.
– Maintain accurate data entries in CRM, tracking performance of recruitment initiatives using data to measure success.

**Event Planning and Management**:
– Represent the University at recruitment events such as UCAS exhibitions and school fairs across the UK.
– Manage logistics for specific events, ensuring all promotional materials and travel plans are in place.
– Support on-campus student recruitment events and follow-up activities to evaluate their success and cost-effectiveness.

**Enquiry Management and Campus Visit Support**:
– Respond to inquiries from prospective students, parents, teachers, guidance counselors, and agents in a professional manner.
– Support campus visit experiences by coordinating tours and training student ambassadors.
– Deliver presentations and advice sessions to schools and colleges to boost awareness and recruitment efforts.

**Special Responsibility Areas**:
– Collaborate with assigned constituent groups to communicate recruitment-related information.
– Design and implement telephone campaigns and support the admissions team during the Clearing process.
– Manage assigned projects, setting goals with the UK Student Recruitment Manager, adhering to timelines, and delivering final reports.

**Contribute to Positive Welfare and Environment**:
– Work collaboratively with colleagues across the Enrollment Management Team.
– Maintain a professional demeanor and adhere to institutional and divisional policies, ensuring exemplary customer service.

**Required Qualifications**:
– Bachelor’s degree.
– Excellent communication and presentation skills.
– High organizational and time management skills, including workload prioritization.
– Attention to detail and accuracy.
– Experience in advising students and delivering presentations.
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
– Proficiency in developing rapport with prospective students and stakeholders.
– Competence in managing multiple tasks and priorities.
– Willingness to travel within the UK and occasionally internationally.
– Flexibility to work outside regular office hours.

**Preferred Qualifications**:
– Experience in student recruitment within higher education.
– Sales training or background.
– Understanding of the higher education sector.
– Experience with diverse populations.
– Proficiency with CRM systems and data analysis.
– Awareness of educational trends and policies affecting student recruitment.
– A valid UK driving license.
