OVERVIEW The Practical Training Advisor role focuses on supporting international students during their opt experience at Trine University. This position provides advising related to practical training while ensuring institutional and regulatory compliance. The advisor plays a key role in student success and immigration record accuracy. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Advise F-1 international students throughout their Optional Practical Training and stem opt periods – Provide advising on practical training regulations, policies, and procedures – Manage and process opt and stem opt requests – Maintain accurate SEVIS records for assigned students – Serve as a designated School Official REQUIREMENTS WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS International students depend on accurate advising and timely support to remain compliant during practical training.
