### Position Announcement: Tenured/Tenure-Track Associate Professor/Professor in Cellular & Molecular Medicine

**Florida International University Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine** is at the forefront of merging community-based medical education with clinical care. Committed to training socially accountable physicians, scientists, and health professionals, the College of Medicine partners with Baptist Health, South Florida’s largest not-for-profit health system, to deliver top-tier medical education and clinical services.

The Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine (HWCOM), in collaboration with Baptist Health South Florida (BHSF), seeks to develop a team of cutting-edge basic science researchers in the fields of Neuroscience, Cardiology, Oncology, and Orthopedics. HWCOM and BHSF are inviting applications for multiple full-time, tenured or tenure-track positions at the rank of Associate or Full Professor within the Department of Cellular & Molecular Medicine.

### Position Requirements

**Qualifications:**

– A doctoral degree from an accredited institution with a proven record of achievement in teaching, academic research, and service.
– Eligibility for appointment to the rank of Associate or Full Professor as per university criteria.
– Current extramural funding at the R01 level or equivalent.
– Demonstrated expertise through creative work, professional writing, or research in refereed and other professional journals, establishing the candidate as a recognized authority in their specialization.

**Preferred Expertise:**

– Specialization in epigenomics, transcriptomics, metabolomics, genomics, or bioinformatics is highly encouraged.
