### Tenure Track/Tenured Open-Rank Professor in the Knight Foundation School of Computing and Information Sciences
The Knight Foundation School of Computing and Information Sciences (KFSCIS) at Florida International University (FIU) in Miami, Florida, is accepting applications for multiple tenured and tenure-track faculty positions at all ranks. We encourage applicants with expertise in all areas of Computer Science that align with and enhance our existing research strengths. Subfields at the intersection of disciplines are especially welcome. Applicants must possess a doctorate in Computer Science or a related field, demonstrate a history of high-impact research, and show a commitment to high-quality teaching.
Senior candidates must exhibit a robust and consistent record of funded research, publications, and professional service, alongside evidence of leadership in significant projects. Junior candidates should demonstrate early-career research achievements and the potential to develop an impactful research agenda. Responsibilities include teaching diverse student populations at both graduate and undergraduate levels, and participating actively in departmental and university activities.
KFSCIS hosts six research centers, including federally-funded centers of excellence. The school comprises nearly 40 tenured and tenure-track faculty members, many of whom have received awards such as NSF, DOE, DOD CAREER or Young Investigator recognitions. The school serves over 4,300 students, including more than 100 Ph.D. and 350 M.S. students. KFSCIS is invested in ambitious and expanding programs for research, education, and outreach, offering degrees in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Data Science and Artificial Intelligence, and Telecommunications and Networking. The school boasts state-of-the-art computing infrastructure and maintains extensive industry and international partnerships.
Computer Science is identified as one of FIU’s strategic growth areas. KFSCIS continues its multi-year expansion, initiated three years ago, aiming to add 20 new faculty members over five years. This year, we plan to strategically recruit multiple faculty members to further this goal.
