Flinders University Academy is dedicated to becoming the preferred pathway provider for students who want to pursue a university degree in South Australia. As a subsidiary of Flinders University, the Academy offers a range of pathway courses, such as ELICOS, Foundation, Diploma, and Pre-Masters, using innovative teaching methods in a supportive atmosphere. The Student Services Coordinator plays a pivotal role in the Flinders University Academy’s strategic objectives. Joining our Student Services team, the Coordinator will provide top-quality support, course enrollment assistance, and advice services to students at the Academy. This position is offered as a full-time, 5-month contract to cover parental leave. Specifically, the Coordinator will focus on delivering a holistic and high-quality experience for students, including initiatives to aid their transition into the Academy and progression to the University. They will handle complex inquiries, offer specialized guidance, and serve as a key point of contact for staff and students regarding policies and operational procedures related to enrollment and course advice. Key responsibilities include coordinating orientation and onboarding activities, providing comprehensive enrollment and course advice services, managing complex student inquiries, and contributing to ongoing process improvement and operational goals. The Coordinator will also organize and participate in academic progress activities, such as meetings with students and providing guidance on relevant policies and appeals processes.

Applicants must meet certain conditions for employment, including a current Working With Children Check and a valid National Police Certificate. Additionally, as part of Flinders University’s COVID-19 Vaccination Policy, successful applicants will be required to be up to date with their COVID-19 vaccinations, with medical exemptions and limited exemptions considered. The Coordinator will need to travel between the Bedford Park and City Campus to provide in-person support to Academy students.
