Start a meaningful career journey with the Anglican Schools Commission (ASC) as the Student Services and Homestay Coordinator for the ASC International division. ASC International, located in the Perth CBD, is part of the Anglican Schools Commission. Our programs are designed to support international students studying in our schools throughout their journey with us. Our main focus is to provide a positive experience where students feel safe, welcomed, and comfortable at all times. The ASC owns and operates 16 low-fee, co-educational schools in WA, Victoria, and NSW. Our strategic goals include nurturing existing schools, establishing new schools, and creating inclusive learning communities that embody values of inclusion, justice, and respect.
As the Student Services and Homestay Coordinator, you will be a crucial part of our vision. Your role will involve overseeing enrolment and arrival procedures for new international students, planning and conducting orientation programs, serving as a primary communication point for students and families, monitoring academic performance, ensuring compliance with Homestay regulations, managing documentation, and engaging with external bodies related to student welfare.
To be successful in this role, you should support the ASC’s vision, core purpose, values, and strategic direction. Experience in student support, particularly with international students, is preferred. Familiarity with student management systems, such as Synergetic, is advantageous. Knowledge of relevant regulations and requirements, such as the National Code of Practice for Providers of Education and Training to Overseas Students 2018, CRICOS, and visa requirements, is necessary. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential, with multilingual capabilities being a bonus. You should also possess problem-solving and crisis management skills, cultural awareness and sensitivity, and an ethical approach. Established connections with educational and community organizations, as well as excellent organizational skills with attention to detail, are desired. Finally, you should support the ethos of The Anglican Schools Commission.
