The Professional Golfers Association of Australia is the country’s pre-eminent golf body representing almost 3000 Vocational and Tournament Members.
For almost 110 years, our members, made up of head and club professionals, assistant professionals, teaching professionals, tournament and senior tournament professionals and PGA associates – have been the cornerstone of the golf industry and are the leaders in coaching, advice, club-fitting and retail.Â
The PGA Learning Hub is a world-first golf industry education hub to service the workforce development needs of both the Australian and global golf industries. The PGA Golf Learning Hub provides training and education programs and qualifications to all pillars of the golf industry including the areas of coaching, small-business, facility-management, turf-grass management, tourism, events, and hospitality.Â
Based at the PGA Learning Hub the PGA Institute was established in 2005 and offers education through its golf management program, combining business and golf training as well as practical golf skills to prepare students for a career in the golf industry.

The Role:
Reporting to the PGA Membership and Education General Manager and the PGA Institute Manager the Student Recruitment Coordinator is responsible for the effective and ethical marketing and recruitment of students into PGA Programs as part of the PGA Learning Hub including those delivered by the PGA Institute, Membership Pathway Program and the PGA Academy.Â
The Student Recruitment Coordinator will oversee all public facing information mediums, including but not limited to print, social media, internet, website activities and communication with our International Recruitment Agents.Â
The Student Recruitment Coordinator will be responsible for delivering agreed yearly student intake numbers, ensuring that recruitment is spread evenly across the current cycle and developing pipelines for future years.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Marketing and Promotion
- Development of Student Recruitment Plan for domestic and international student recruitment for all PGA Golf Learning Hub Programs
- In collaboration with the PAM (Public Affairs and Marketing) team, create and implement an annual marketing plan based on agreed PGA Learning Hub strategic direction
- Lead on the promotion and marketing of PGA Education programs
- Develop and undertake an annual Visitation Program, as a part of the Student Recruitment Plan, focusing not only on domestic areas, but global opportunities and regions including South East Asia
- Participates in and/or organizes and implements special events utilising presentation and promotional materials to recruit students
Prospect Management
- Provides advice to potential students; assisting students in the completion of applicationsÂ
- Take a lead on follow-up activities to ensure high application to enrolment conversion rate, one of the key priorities for this role
- Collaborate with the student support officer to follow up enquiries and applications to convert and recruit new students
Collaboration and partnerships
- Support and service relationships with a network of international agents to meet student recruitment targets, including engagement, update, and continuous review of all agent agreements to ensure recruitment of agreed student numbers
- PGA Member referrals – production of annual sales kit and management of all Member referrals and documentation for relevant referral fees applicable to each
- Management of the PGA Golf Learning Hub relationship with various university partners including Griffith University and Deakin University. In particular, the Student Recruitment Coordinator will assist with articulation agreements, credit transfer and general student interest applicable to both organisations
GeneralÂ
- Provide assistance to the RTO Manager as required
- Participation in the financial management of all programs
- Collaborate with other PGA staff as required
In addition to the above, the role will involve both domestic and international travel and at times, working outside of standard business hours due to dealing with international stakeholders. Discussions around flexible working arrangements are welcomed and will considered on an individual basis.

Qualifications and Experience:
The ideal candidate will possess excellent organisational skills to deliver amazing customer experiences for all stakeholders. In addition, you will have:
- Previous experience in the VET sector, particularly with regards to recruitment of both international and domestic students for an organisationÂ
- Understanding of regulatory requirements relating to CRICOS, National Code, ESOS Act and ASQA and the Standards for RTO’s 2015
- Working knowledge of Student Record Keeping Systems – VETtrakÂ
- Tertiary qualification in a Business Marketing related fieldÂ
- Business and/or administrative qualifications or accreditations

Skills and Attributes
- Ability to work autonomously and to produce accurate work with attention to detail
- Ability to proactively participate in the development, implementation and monitoring of best practice principles for customer service focus and delivery
- Highly developed written, interpersonal and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with all key stakeholders
- Advanced level of computer knowledge of Microsoft office computer programs
- Maintain a positive attitude towards students and all other key stakeholders
- Team driven mentality within an overall group performance environment and the desire to contribute to a successful team
