Position: As a Student Information Officer, you will provide exceptional customer service, representing the University of Adelaide College (UoAC) as the first point of contact for students, staff, and visitors. Being a part of the Student Services team, you will offer assistance for both academic and non-academic needs, as well as various support services. Your caring and professional demeanor will greatly contribute to the College community and the success of all stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
College Service Desk
– Serve as the initial support for all student and staff inquiries at the College.
– Maintain a professional appearance of the service desk area and student common rooms.
– Ensure the service desk is attended at all times.
– Manage supplies/consumables and maintain general College cleanliness.
Student Services
– Assist students with academic and non-academic needs, offering various support services.
– Respond to general student inquiries through the CRM system and redirect complex inquiries to College staff.
– Support the College’s Attendance Monitoring Process, including notifications and scheduling appointments with Student Services team members.
– Maintain accurate and timely communication to students and external stakeholders.
– Assist in organizing and executing College events, such as Orientations, Exams, and Graduations.
– Provide general administrative support to the Student Services team.
– Gather student feedback to ensure high levels of student satisfaction.
Work Health and Safety
– Adhere to Kaplan’s WHS policies and procedures.
– Act as an emergency warden for the building.
– Assist with the induction of new staff and students to the campus.
Requirements:
– Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a similar administrative or customer service role (essential).
– Ability to work from the office every workday, Monday to Friday (essential).
– Patience is a must.
– Excellent oral and written communication skills.
– Strong problem-solving and listening abilities.
– Ability to build relationships and collaborate with stakeholders effectively.
– Excellent organizational, planning, and interpersonal skills.
– Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
– Strong attention to detail.
– Adaptability to a changing work environment.
– Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
– Ability to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends if required.
– Preferred knowledge or experience in the international education sector.
– Knowledge of ESOS, PRISMS, SSVF, and regulatory requirements is desirable.
– Up-to-date knowledge of key legislation, policies, and procedures related to international education is desirable.
– Working with Children Check is required.
