Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic, enthusiastic, and inspiring Student Engagement Coordinator to join our team at ACPE. Your role will focus on the development and execution of events, activities, and programs aimed at enhancing student participation and enriching their overall experience at ACPE. As a key member of the student engagement and wellbeing team, your primary objective is to promote the growth and development of our student community through engaging extra-curricular initiatives in a fun and social environment.
ACPE is Australia’s oldest specialist sports institution, established in 1917. We provide undergraduate and postgraduate education in various sports disciplines, health sciences, football, dance, sports business, and teacher education.
As the Student Engagement Coordinator, you will collaborate with external stakeholders, support the Student Engagement and Wellbeing team, and closely work with other departments at ACPE to ensure the success of all student engagement programs and events. Your responsibilities will include leading communication efforts related to student engagement, managing content, and analyzing data insights through channels such as eDMs, social media campaigns, and student surveys. Additionally, you will oversee the management, administration, and logistics of key events such as the annual awards dinner.
Responsibilities:
Student Engagement
– Develop, implement, and monitor regular student engagement communications, including student-facing communications and social media content.
– Organize recreational and social activities relevant to student life.
– Coordinate social and engagement events, including the Annual Awards Dinner, Staff vs Students sporting competitions, fundraising initiatives, etc.
– Supervise the ordering, distribution, and sales of ACPE merchandise.
– Assist in the smooth execution of new student orientation and provide information to new students.
– Assist in delivering student engagement programs, events, and activities.
– Support the operations of the Student Representative Council and the ACPE Volunteer Program.
– Assist the Director of Student Engagement and Wellbeing with The Elite Program.
– Support the promotion of support services like counseling services and the use of TalkCampus through the ACPE portal.
Student Services
– Provide support at college events, including Orientation Weeks and Open Days.
Special Projects
– Efficiently and effectively carry out assigned special projects and tasks.
In performing these responsibilities, ACPE employees are expected to demonstrate an understanding of ACPE values and apply them in their interactions with students, staff, and the community.
Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree in education, management, or a related field.
– Current First Aid and CPR certification or willingness to obtain within the first 6 months of employment.
– Valid Working with Children Check.
– Current NSW Driver’s license.
Experience:
– Previous experience in a similar role.
– Preferred experience in events, sport, dance, or education.
– Experience in designing, implementing, and monitoring communication campaigns (e.g., eDMs and social media).
– Database management experience.
– Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
