We are recruiting a Senior International Research and Innovation Team Lead to join Queen Mary University of London’s Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry.
The successful postholder will manage research, partnership development and pre-award support for the international research funding portfolio. They are expected to strategically engage international funders and partners to maximise the proposal/income opportunities, assessing research ideas against funding requirements; facilitating large-scale proposal preparation; supervisiing accurate costing and contracting; monitoring compliance with the international funding requirements.
The ideal candidate should have a PhD degree or equivalent professional experience in the field of biomedical science or healthtech, and have an extensive experience in a partnership development and income generation role within higher education institutes. Track record in supporting large-scale multi-disciplinary research applications with overseas research/innovation partners and experience in research contract preparation/negotiations and handling partner due diligence and research IPs is essential.
The post is based at the Dept W Whitechapel Campus in London and is a full-time (35 hours per week), permanent appointment. The starting salary will be Grade 6, in the range of £51,048 – £56,921 per annum (pro-rata), inclusive of London Allowance.
