Job Description: Senior International Operations Manager

About the Role

This pivotal position at the University of the Arts London (UAL) offers an exciting opportunity to shape the future of international education within the Study Abroad and Preparation Programmes (SAPP). As the Senior International Operations Manager, you will play a crucial role in managing and enhancing the student experience for international participants from initial enquiry through to course completion. Your efforts will support the transition of students onto various UAL courses and enhance their academic journey, particularly through specialized programs such as pre-sessional English language courses, preparation for bachelor’s degrees, and study abroad initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership & Management: Guide the SAPP Operations team in delivering exceptional, customer-focused support to applicants, students, partners, and staff.
  • Process Enhancement: Identify and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency and scalability.
  • Resource Management: Effectively oversee resources and tasks to maintain high service standards that accommodate growing demand.
  • Data Development: Lead the creation of data-driven products to support strategic and operational goals within SAPP.

Candidate Profile

We seek an enthusiastic and committed leader with a strong academic background, ideally holding a first-class degree or equivalent professional experience. Applicants should demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of the international student journey into higher education, particularly in English language development programs. Insight into the needs and motivations of study abroad students is crucial. Strong organizational, management, and communication skills are essential, along with the ability to establish and maintain professional networks.
