We are seeking a Senior International Officer to join our dedicated International Recruitment Team. This role involves supporting the implementation of the University’s internationalization and student recruitment strategies, enhancing the student journey both in Edinburgh and through our global partnerships.
Our International Recruitment Team is primarily tasked with promoting the University overseas and executing the International Recruitment Strategy across eight distinct regions: Africa, the Americas and Caribbean, Asia Pacific and Oceania, China, Europe and Eurasia, the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), South Asia, and Southeast Asia. The department collaborates closely with various stakeholders to enhance student recruitment from target markets for all levels of study.

### Role Overview
The Senior International Officer will specifically concentrate on the Americas and Europe regions, collaborating with an International Partnership Manager within a regional team to achieve international student recruitment goals across various geographic areas. This officer will represent the University internationally, establishing and nurturing relationships with key stakeholders crucial to the recruitment process, including educational agents, partner institutions, high schools, and government agencies. The role also involves leading various projects within the team and potentially overseeing broader Directorate and University projects as required.
### Ideal Candidate Profile
– Proven experience in international student recruitment.
– Background in marketing and/or sales.
– Strong ability to build effective relationships and develop a network of contacts.
– Willingness and ability to travel overseas and work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
– Excellent interpersonal skills and team player attributes, capable of engaging successfully with colleagues, students, and external contacts.
