The Role:

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Senior Admissions Officer (Global) to manage international applications from specific global markets at our Headington Campus. This crucial role involves serving as the main point of contact for our Global Recruitment team, agents, and partners, ensuring all admissions comply with institutional policies while providing a top-tier admissions experience.

In this position, you will lead a small team of Admissions Officers and Associates, fostering their performance and professional growth. This role is perfect for individuals who excel in a dynamic, inclusive, and internationally focused environment.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary liaison for agents and partners in designated international markets, offering expert guidance on qualifications and market contexts.
  • Evaluate and review complex applications, ensuring adherence to institutional policies and best practices within the sector.
  • Support the professional development of Admissions Officers and Associates by setting objectives, monitoring performance, and providing training.
  • Ensure Standard Operating Procedures align with compliance requirements for specified markets.
  • Lead an operational team in using the Admissions System (CRM Recruit) to process applications and record decisions with accuracy.
  • Deliver training to admissions staff and academic colleagues on qualifications and market-specific updates.
  • Assist with the University’s student recruitment activities, including Open and Applicant Days.
  • Participate in the continual enhancement of a fair and transparent admissions process.

About You:

You have extensive experience in international higher education admissions and the capability to build relationships, manage a team, and assess applications with precision and fairness.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • A first degree (or equivalent professional qualification or work experience).
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English.
  • Experience in higher education admissions, including handling applications from the UK and international applicants.
  • Proven ability to manage or supervise staff, demonstrating experience in workload management and professional development.
  • Strong proficiency in database or CRM systems, with an aptitude for working efficiently and accurately.
  • Excellent customer service skills, with a background in engaging with internal and external stakeholders.
