The Royal Society is looking for a Scientific Programme Officer to play a key role in planning and delivering its scientific meetings programme. The successful candidate will work closely with the Senior Scientific Programmes Officer to organize international meetings that bring together top scientists to advance knowledge and foster innovation. Approximately 30 meetings are held each year, both in-person and virtually.
Candidates must have a proven track record of managing high-profile events and building strong relationships with colleagues and partners. Excellent organization and communication skills are essential, as well as the ability to handle multiple priorities. Experience working with scientists or academics is desirable.
In addition to their primary responsibilities, the Scientific Programme Officer may be required to assist with other projects and events as needed. This role is based at the Royal Society’s office in Carlton House Terrace, with some remote work and occasional travel within the UK.
