The Lan-Grove Office Training Centre Pty Ltd trading as The Sydney Business and Travel Academy, SBTA Culinary Institute, SBTA Community Care (SBTA) and The Sydney English Language Academy (SELA) is a Registered Training Organisation registered with the Australian Skills Quality Authority (RTO ID 90412) and a CRICOS Provider (CRICOS Code: 00181A) delivering nationally recognised courses in Australia. Since opening our doors in 1985 we have evolved into one of Sydney’s largest, most successful training providers, welcoming thousands of international students every year. We are looking at expanding our current marketing team and are seeking an experienced Sales and Marketing Officer.

 ABOUT THE ROLE

This is a full-time position and in this role you will be one of the key points of contact for our Education Agents. A high level of customer service is required together with an understanding of Agent needs and the ability to communicate effectively with international students and agents. You will need to be familiar with RTO and CRICOS regulatory requirements and have experience in the use of a Student Management System.

 YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE

  • Providing ongoing service, support, and training to our existing Agent network
  • Sourcing, appointing and training new Agents
  • Initiating and implementing successful sales strategies and achieving sales targets
  • Processing student applications, issuing letters of offer and achieving a high conversion rate through active follow-up and closing sales
  • Conducting market research and providing reports and recommendations to the Marketing Manager
  • Coordinating advertising campaigns targeting your nominated markets
  • Assisting with the preparation of marketing material such as brochures, flyers, website etc.
  • Responding to walk-in, phone and email sales enquiries
  • Actively targeting SBTA’s current student population for re-enrolment
  • Contribute to the implementation of marketing strategies.

 

  • Essential Criteria
  • Fluent in English and Portuguese language (written and verbal)
  • Relevant tertiary or similar qualification in marketing
  • Knowledge and understanding of the ESOS Act, National Code 2018 and the Standards for RTOs 2015.
  • A strong customer focus and ability to consult and liaise with stakeholders in a cross-cultural environment.
  • Must have strong compassion for students from a diverse background and culture
  • Ability to accept responsibility.
  • High motivation and a sound work ethic
  • Be well organised and be able to work to deadlines
  • Be able to resolve conflict effectively
  • High level of computer competency and experience using College Student Management Systems
  • Have a strong command of written and spoken English (both verbal and written) with all stakeholders.
  • Be a team player with having the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Demonstrated experience in Vocational Education and Training and competency-based training.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, punctuality and professional grooming.
