Job Overview:

We are seeking a tropical plant ecophysiologist to join an innovative research project focused on the survival limits of rainforest trees during intense drought conditions in the southern Amazon. This role, based on a university campus with fieldwork opportunities in Brazil, offers a hybrid working model with potential for flexible arrangements. Key responsibilities include leading data collection and analysis, and training postgraduate students in partner institutes in Brazil. The research will primarily involve developing and applying techniques to monitor plant water potential in adult canopy trees, facilitating high-frequency monitoring of whole plant conductance.
