We are looking for a Research Fellow with a keen interest and experience in health policy and systems research (HPSR) to join a new project focused on enhancing intersectoral policy for early childhood development in Argentina and Ghana. This project, funded by the NIHR, is a collaborative effort among FLACSO (Argentina), the Centre for Learning and Childhood Development (Ghana), and UCL’s Institute for Global Health.
**About the Role**
Key responsibilities will include creating research protocols with partners, obtaining ethical approvals, co-developing data collection tools with FLACSO and CLCD, supporting or performing data analysis, and drafting reports and communications. This role offers opportunities for skill development within the project.
The successful candidate will be based at UCL in London but should be prepared to work in Argentina and Ghana for up to two months per year, divided into short visits. This is a full-time position (36.5 hours per week), available immediately and initially running until October 2029.
**About You**
The ideal candidate will hold a PhD or equivalent experience in global health policy research (especially HPSR), political science, economics, anthropology, sociology, epidemiology, or a related field. Experience in managing study processes from design to analysis, conducting literature reviews, and preparing reports and presentations is essential.
Candidates should have proficiency in using word-processing and presentation software, and qualitative coding software like Nvivo or Dedoose, with excellent organizational skills and a meticulous approach to tasks. The role requires a willingness to travel internationally.
